I attended my first session with Alastair, not knowing what I was going to talk about or even where to start. My life had been quite challenging on times and it all seemed too complex and indeed, private, to be trying to explain and share this with someone I didn’t know.

I had had several bouts of depression throughout my life and had received strong medication on two of those times which appeared to help initially, but proved to be a very temporary and unsatisfactory solution. On a regular basis, I found myself still struggling enormously with life. On the surface I would have appeared to many people, happy and capable but inside I was full of anxiety and overcome with how to deal with people and circumstances. My mind was constantly interrupted by negative thoughts, memories, anxieties and concerns even though I was trying hard to overcome them and be positive. My nightmares were regular. I was in quiet turmoil.

Alastair was recommended to me. What a step forward that was…….. I was extremely nervous as I had no idea how to explain how I felt and why. Alastair’s distinctive, calm, caring manner and incredible patience put me at ease. I sensed very quickly that this was not just a highly qualified, professional person but someone who was extremely caring and who really did want to help me get better, but just as importantly for me, to help me understand things.

He is without doubt a person of the highest integrity and truly dedicated to helping others, but so much more than that. He has a uniqueness of treatment that is not governed by a ‘one size fit’s all’ approach but a personal adaptation (according to one’s needs), of his vast intelligence and professional knowledge, sincere empathy, enormous compassion, warmth and incredible intuition.

He is a very special person and I cannot recommend him highly enough. It is my belief that he really can change your life. He has mine.

After a long totally stress-free holiday I returned home back to the realities of life and then my problems began. I became anxious, tense, lost energy and became reluctant to leave the house. I became worse, my body shaking unable to walk outside my house. At this stage I visited my Doctor, who diagnosed anxiety disorder/panic attacks. I was put on medication and offered talking therapy, to which I did attend. After several months there was a very slight improvement, but any minor issue gave me major setbacks and lost all confidence.

I then was introduced to Alastair Walker, who was a customer of my husband’s business. Alastair, who my husband had always spoken most highly about, heard of my problems in health and arranged for me to see him. Alastair had a totally different approach to treatment I had received from my Doctors. I immediately felt after just one session a far more relaxed person. He advised me to come off medication. My mental state returned to a more normal state, enabling me to now cope daily, with renewed confidence to go out and mix with people again. He taught me how to help myself should any symptoms re-occur. This has proved to be invaluable.

I am amazed with the results obtained with his skills. I was put at ease immediately on meeting Alastair and had full confidence in him at all times. Alastair’s human skills I consider to be of excellence, he is truly a very likeable, wonderful person. I am proud to be able to comment on results achieved with his help in rectifying my medical/mental problems and would recommend any person Alastair considers he could help, in short, go for it with full confidence. I wish him well in every respect and can only speak of him with highest acclaim.
